Nibel is a true witch. Thanks to a contract with Leonard, the Devil of Witches and Knowledge, she uses magic to manipulate ink.

Here are examples of the spells most commonly used by Nibel. For other spells she'll need a specific spellbook.
Common spells : Those spells don't need anything else than telling the spell and don't last more than 10 minutes
Writing in the air with a thread of ink and having it floating
Creating small and brainless ink puppets controlled by the witch
Making ink move at will or changing its pigmentation

Advanced Spells: Those spells need rituals or telling longer spells or using magic items and duration varies according to the spell
Ink mask : the mask require a 12 hours long ritual to be created and last till its destruction or disenchantment. The mask acts like a medium for writing, showing symbols and words at the witch's will.
Ink transfer : after a short ritual and incantation the witch can transfer the content of a book to another book or to a vial to be transfered later in an empty book. The targetted book then has its pages totally blank.
Ink summoning : the witch can gather all the ink in a 10 m radius (like Tatoo's ink) by chanting the spell. Every drop of ink in the surrounding is gathered in a floating ink sphere in front of the witch. By chanting the spell backward the ink will get back to its original location.
Ink Familiar : the witch can create a familiar spirit made of ink. To do so she need precious magic items that will be destroyed in the process. If the familiar is destroyed it will restore itself after a certain time, the more powerfull the items used to create it were the faster it will recover. It can be dangerous cause the spirit will be embued by the psyche of the creator of the items used to create it. The familiar also looses all its strenght when in a 'holy' place.

Restrictions:
In order to keep the full potential of her powers, the witch needs to perform a ritual every full moon.
All the rules of witchcraft apply to the witch : when the witch curses someone she'll suffer the curse if the curse is dispelled, no salvation for witches, etc etc ...
The witch is more prone to be haunted.

Personality :

Nibel is a very silent person. Never speaking outside missions or when it's absolutely needed. Most of times she will speak by writing in the air, using her magic ... And when she does so she is very talkative.
She is kind of a book addict. Her room is filled with books and it's hard to move in there. She often ends asleep under a mountain of books because she's not an organized person and her room is always in a mess.

She lives mostly at night, pushing lot of all-nighters to finish the books she is reading at the moment.

She is also some kind of Kleptomaniac. She is used to "steal" rare books when she sees them ... She steals the ink from the book leaving it totally blank, and transfers the ink in an empty book, making her own copy of the book. In her room you will find lot of untitled books because of that.
She is an ironical person, making lot of jokes about her witchcraft : like calling ingredients when she is cooking with names like "frog's spit" or "pixie's sweat" ... It's her way to fight the horrible memories of the sisterhood and of her abduction.

Finally, she can appear shy at first and slowly opens to the people she trusts. She'll never remove her mask in front of you if she don't trust you.


History :

Nibel was raised in a Witch sisterhood in a dark place from Latvia. "Witch sisterhood" is a great word cause Nibel was probably the only one there with powers ...
She was raised to use her powers on a daily routine, that why she speaks by writing in the air. The training was hard and the head of the sisterhood was jealous of Nibel's magic, making her training worst every day. Nibel suffered a lot during her childhood in the sisterhood.
Her only haven of peace was the sisterhood's Library, there she was able to read and let her mind wander around the world.
The sisterhood aimed to gather mystical books and used Nibel to gather them with her powers. By gathering this books and reading in the Library, Nibel learned about the world outside the sisterhood and wanting to see the World with her own eyes, she escaped from the sisterhood by forming a contract with Leonard, the three horned ram. She was 14 at this time.

Outside the sisterhood, without any experience of the world and hiding from the sisterhood, she fell in burgalry and counterfeit currency, using her magic to make illegal money, following Leonard's advices. She was a witch, but even a 14 years old witch can't live by herself with no house if she doesn't have money ... That's the first thing the world taught to her ... The world was even more cruel than the sisterhood, so she hided herself in books one more time, getting more and more books, by every means, to flee from the real world.
She lived 6 years like that before she was targeted by a criminal organization who wanted her power to flood the world with counterfeit currency.
She managed to run away 6 months with the help of Leonard before she was finally caught after being cornered in a church ...

She was abused by the men of the organization, shown as a curiosity because she was a witch, humiliated ... They even tried to burn her one night they were drunk ...

"Let see if witches really burn !" is what they told ...

This night a man with a white coat appeared and saved her. He brought her to a place where she would be able to live and make them pay ... Them who torned the real world, making it cruel and dark ... All those people who tainted the world, the world the books were showing to her.


Random informations:
-She has a slight accent when speaking. She tries to tone it down but it's really obvious when she's feeling strong emotions.
-The mole on her face 'moves' each day. It's a basic trick she learned to not be easily spotted.
